My main source is the book I wrote together with Rolf Söderberg back in 1983, Den svenska fotografins historia.

My first book on the subject was a study of a small town's photo history: Växjö in front of the camera, published by Smålands museum in 1977.

The research taught me a lot about the introduction of new methods by itinerant photographers and about the development of studio work.
